About Our Company

Our journey began in 1971, when the business was known as Syarikat Alat-Alat Perlukisan, located at 23, Bishop Street. As manual architectural and engineering drafting dominated the era before CAD, we became a trusted provider of high-quality imported drafting tools from Europe and Germany. These essential items included:

• Drawing boards, T-squares, set squares, protractors, compasses
• Tracing paper, vellum or drafting linen
• Technical pens and ruling pens, pencils of various grades, French curves
• Templates, lettering guides, and drafting machines 

This broad range served architects, engineers, and draftsmen at a time when precision and manual skill were paramount.

In 1994, as the business evolved and expanded its offerings, it was rebranded as Syarikat Hilal. The name Hilal derives from Arabic, meaning "crescent moon" or "new moon", symbolizing new beginnings, growth, purity, and the promise of renewal.

In 2005, the company relocated to its current premises at 105 Lorong Macalister, marking a new chapter in the business expanding into office supplies, printing services, and becoming a one-stop solutions partner.

 We are a one-stop solutions provider for office and institutional needs, offering:

• Photocopy Paper — ISO A4 & A3, 70gsm & 80gsm, from leading brands such as Fujifilm, IK, and Double A.
• Premium Papers — Conqueror™ paper, various cards, and certificate papers for formal and creative use.
• Writing Instruments — Stadtler, Faber-Castell, Stabilo, and Pilot pens and pencils.
• Office Supplies — Filing products, tapes, fasteners, and desk essentials.
• Pantry Supplies — Bulk food items for office needs.
• Printing & Document Services — Photocopying, plan printing (A4 to A0), color printing, binding, rubber stamp creation, and name card printing.
